Here's a great story courtesy of BBC NewsOnline http://news.bbc.co.uk . Canadian Olga Kotelko is 91 and she took up Track and Field Athletics at the age of 77.

Here she is talking about her life and her sport; and showing the evident pleasure she gets from being strong and fit thanks to the training required to participate in those sports - and the pleasure she gets from winning!

We were previously of the opinion that if you wanted to keep your strength up you should start at, say, around 50 while you still have strength naturally. Olga's story goes to show that it's never too late to start. As Ultra Runner Hilary Walker says in her interview "Don't put limits on yourself, you'll be surprised what you can do".
